It may still be 80 degrees where you live.
But we know that as KidMin leaders, we’re beginning to think a lot like Christmas!
There are themes to prep.
Decorations to plan.
Events to schedule.
And in the middle of it, you’re wondering: How do I help the kids in my ministry grow hearts that are just as ready to give as to get? That’s why we’re excited to partner with Compassion International once again to set up a Giving Tree for Christmas!
Set up a Giving Tree for Christmas to teach kids about giving
Over the past 18 months, Compassion has done incredible work responding to the needs of sponsored children and families around the world. Even as Compassion centers were forced to close, Compassion staff and volunteers didn’t waver on their service to those in need. Throughout the pandemic, they personally visited and called the families of sponsored children. They delivered food packages and hygiene kits and even arranged emergency medical care.
Now, Compassion has a brand-new way to offer hope to kids and families in need! This Christmas, you can join with Compassion by setting up a Giving Tree for Christmas in your children’s ministry or for your entire congregation.
Every single ornament on this tree has the power to change the life of a child or family in need.
A $10 gift could provide a Bible to a child who desperately needs to know how much Jesus loves them.
For $25, you can provide a child with vaccinations to keep them healthy in areas where there is little access to medical care.
$40 for chickens can give a family not only food, but a source of income.
You can also choose from vegetable seeds, goats, music classes, and more to personalize the Giving Tree for Christmas in your ministry. Additionally, you could provide ornaments with dollar amounts that work best for your setting.
If you are able to set up your Giving Tree for the entire church, you could even let the kids in your ministry lead the way by promoting the Giving Tree in your church’s main service!
