It’s hard to believe that another VBS is in the books, and a new one is on the horizon! After a few months of post-planning, we are excited to get back into thinking about VBS 2022. There are a variety of VBS themes to choose from. Everything from Orange VBS, Lifeway VBS, Group VBS, Cokesbury VBS, and more!

That’s why we wanted to create a place where you could overview all the different themes in one place. While we are biased toward our favorite VBS curriculum, there are other several exciting options to choose from. Orange VBS 2022 Theme Overview

Theme: Make Waves
Tagline: What you do today can change the world around you
Theme Verse: “Whoever believes in me . . . rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38
Program Overview: Are you ready to dive into an awesome summer?! In Make Waves VBS, kids will learn that what you do today can change the world around you. When you put your trust in Jesus, you can “make waves” because of His Spirit living inside you. Through fun activities, engaging lessons, and God’s Word, we’ll help kids understand how they can share God’s love with the people around them.

Group VBS 2022 Theme Overview

Theme: Monumental
Tagline: Celebrating God’s Greatness
Program Overview: Go off-road for a Monumental adventure through the colorful canyons and sunbaked trails of the southwest. By exploring God’s awesomeness, kids form a rock-solid faith for the road ahead.

DAY 1
Bible Story: Joseph’s family feuds. Genesis 37

Lifeway VBS 2022 Theme Overview

Theme: Spark Studios
Tagline: Created in Christ. Designed for God’s Purpose
Theme Verse: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 (CSB)
Program Overview: Spark imagination and kick creativity into high gear at Spark Studios. In summer 2022, kids will learn that God’s creativity didn’t stop in Genesis. The Master Artist is working to redeem, reclaim, and transform us–His creation–to the design He planned for us. Kids will see the beautiful truth that they are God’s workmanship as they learn to use their talents to bring glory to Him.
